Aiysha is an award winning film – picking up ‘Best Drama’ at the Vegas Movie Awards as well as ‘Outstanding Achievement’ at the Berlin Flash Film Festival and Official selections at Dumbo Film Festival New York.

David wrote, produced and directed the feature film ‘Thick as Thieves’ starring Steven Arnold and Jonny Dixon.

David has been appointed Associate Director at TroubleHouse Theatre Company. Here he aims to create exciting engaging pieces of site specific work that challenges audiences.

David worked as Associate Director at West Yorkshire Playhouse on Maxine Peake’s U.K Tour of ‘Beryl’.

The show was a hit success and received TWO Manchester Theatre Award Nominations and a transfer to the Rose Theatre, London.

Shortly afterwards, David began work with Troublehouse Theatre and Bolton Octagon on a site specific play ‘Remains’ by Alison Carr.

The production was supported by two charities; ‘Missing People’ and ‘The Children’s Society’ and proved to be a sell-out success with extra dates added due to such high demand.

Last year David staged Chris O’Connell’s hard hitting gritty drama ‘RAW’. 

The play received huge success and was nominated for a Manchester Theatre Award.

David also works regularly with HardGraft Theatre – who have been touring successful shows for over 20 years.

Since coming on board he directed Mark Whiteley’s comedy play ‘Thick as Thieves’ which was a WINNER of a Manchester Theatre Award.

In October 2016 David directed Dennis Kelly’s dark thriller ‘After the End’

Mark and Louise are work colleagues trapped inside a nuclear fallout shelter, having survived a terrorist attack on Manchester. They’ve escaped the blast but must now learn to survive the next two weeks with just themselves for company.

Christmas Productions

David also directs HardGraft’s Christmas shows every year – where he has directed original adaptations that have drawn families back year after year. These shows include Pinocchio, The Elves and The Shoemaker, The Jungle Book, Red Riding Hood, and Babushka.
